About the Role

Leading a small team, and reporting to the Corporate Head Strategy, Neighbourhoods and Engagement, in the new Communities Directorate, you will play a key role in developing and implementing the performance and risk management policies, strategies, frameworks and tools to manage and assess delivery of the Council's priorities. 

The post holder will have a strong understanding and previous experience of performance and risk management and must be able to form strong and effective relationships with Directors, senior officers, Members, contracted partners and a range of stakeholders providing sound advice, support, and building capability in performance and risk management across the council.


The post holder will identify performance and risk challenges, support the development of solutions and play an active role in getting solutions delivered. Strong skills in research, data analysis and report writing are key to the role.
