The post holder will join Adult Social Care and Community Housing at an exciting time of modernisation and transformation and have the opportunity to be part of an ongoing programme of work designed to maximise the independence, choice and quality of life of our residents.

About the role
The core functions of the role are to :
  • Lead on designing and implementing evidence-based strategic commissioning strategies and intentions across Adult Social Care
  • Lead on co-producing and implementing strategies and policies across the department that are designed to improve outcomes for vulnerable groups in Kingston
  • Take responsibility for delivering the required commissioning activity within the department in accordance with the RBK commissioning framework and standards across a range of areas including residential/nursing placements, supported living and community services
  • Take responsibility for delivering on assigned transformation projects designed to deliver the strategic priorities of the department
  • Oversee and develop business cases, service specifications, performance criteria to underpin the commissioning activity of the department
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to implement any cross-cutting commissioning and transformational projects
  • Work flexibly to deliver the business needs of the department
