An opportunity has arisen to join our Highways Operations Team & Street Works team as a Street Works coordinator on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave, reporting to the Street Works Manager.

About the role
This will be an exciting and challenging role over this period, particularly with the introduction of the new Street Manager system next year and implementation of our new Mayrise Noticing system.

An example of some of the duties included in the role are below:
  • Evaluation of highways and utility works permit requests
  • Managing permit fee reconciliation on a monthly basis
  • Dealing with financial queries from Utilities, when the arise
  • Dispute resolution 
  • Managing the issuing and tracking of FPNs 
  • Monitoring expenditure, income, fees and charges in the team
  • Liaises with Utilities and other stakeholders about works activities on the public highway network
  • Working in partnership with the Street Works Inspectors
