About the role
Kingston Adult Education is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced teacher to teach English to adult learners. 

You will be joining our team of fantastic teachers and will be given a full induction to working at KAE. As well as this, there are regular training sessions and CPD opportunities available throughout the year to help our teachers continually develop their teaching skills. 

The role will be to teach English Functional Skills, however, there may be the potential for further work within the English department, and for this reason we welcome applications from teachers with experience of teaching GCSE English as well as Functional Skills English. 
 

About you 
  • The successful candidate will: 
  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification at Level 3 or above 
  • Have some experience in teaching English to adult learners and preferably experience teaching Functional Skills English at L1/L2
  • Be familiar with the Functional Skills core curriculum and be able to deliver a programme of learning which gives all learners the best possible chance of passing their Functional Skills exams
  • Demonstrate innovation and creativity
  • Be able to work successfully with key stakeholders within and outside of the Council
